Downtown Development Authority
Understanding the role and impact of the Davison Downtown Development Authority
A Downtown Development Authority (DDA) is a public authority created under Michigan Public Act 57 of 2018. It serves as a catalyst for economic development and revitalization in a community's downtown district.
"The Davison DDA is dedicated to promoting, enhancing, and revitalizing downtown Davison through strategic planning, business support, community events, and historic preservation initiatives."
The Davison DDA is governed by a 9-member board appointed by the City Council.
Regular board meetings are open to the public and held monthly.
